Beautiful West Lake in Hangzhou and Dragon Well Tea

People are so fond of Hangzhou because they, to a great degree, are sentimentally attached to the scenery of the West Lake, which is the soul of Hangzhou. No matter it is rainy or sunny, it is always as good-looking as it has been with the cycle of the seasons. Therefore, a comment goes that the West Lake in Hangzhou is the best among the 36 west lakes under the sun. The West Lake is surrounded by fine view. In the Lake, there is a hill, two dykes and three islands. The hill is an isolated one, resembling a corolla on the water surface and giving an impression of fineness and harmony; The two dykes are the Bai Causeway and the Su Causeway, on both of which beautiful flowers bloom at all seasons.  Long long ago, the ten views of the West Lake began, such as the Spring Dawn at Su Causeway, the Autumn Moon Over the calm Lake, the Melting Snow at Broken Bridge,  the Orioles Singing in the Willows, and the Three Pools Mirroring the Moon. Some of these views are on the Lake, and there are also views scattering around the Lake, with the Lake and the hills enhancing each other’s beauty and bringing out the best in each other throughout the year.
Since last year’s March, tourists have had chances to enjoy a unique show at night after they amused themselves near the West Lake. “Impressions of the West Lake” is a great live-action performance set in real hills and Lake, which adopts the dense humanity and pretty natural scenery as its literary and artistic fountain-head and integrates with the ancient folk tales. Meanwhile, with high-tech, “the West Lake rain” is created, which reflects romantic charm of the Lake in the rain and the rain falling down in the West Lake area from another perspective. The landscape live-action show presents a grand high-level artistic feast by reappearing the authentic scenery of Hangzhou’s connotation and natural scene.
With picturesque scenery, Hangzhou is highly spiritual with abundant produce.     One of the specialties of the West Lake is Dragon Well tea, which is world-renowned. The West Lake Dragon Well tea has a long history, which dates back to the Tang Dynasty. Lu Yu, a tea saint who lived at that time, had recorded that the Tianzhu Temple and Lingyin Temple produced tea in his The Book of Tea which is the first works concerning tea. There are a lot of stories about West Lake Dragon Well tea. Gao Hong, who works in the tea museum of China, introduces that Qianlong Emperor was very filial. He was very worried about his queen mother as soon as he knew she was ill, so he took the tea he picked in a book and went back to see his mother. When the book opened, tea aroma sent out, and the queen mother said it was the tea that cured her illness. Therefore, Qianlong Emperor ordered that the tea leaves picked from the 18 tea bushes should be presented as tribute for the imperial members. As the tea leaves were placed in between the paper, they were flattened, so the later Dragon Well tea had to be roasted flat.”
The excellent quality of Dragon Well tea is formed by the exquisite producing techniques which are very complicated. People who have seen the whole processed of roasting Dragon Well tea all consider that Dragon Well tea is truly a delicate handiwork. In the scenic spots of the West Lake, there are a lot of tea house. If you can enjoy a cup of Dragon Well tea, it will a bask.
